What are Fàs Mòr’s opening hours?

We are open Monday to Friday between 8.45 & 5pm,

50 weeks of the year and on bank holidays.

At what age can my child start in Fàs Mòr?

We take any child from age 0-12 years old

How long will it take for my child to settle in to Fàs Mòr?

It is very much different for all children, some settle in from the first day, for others it could take a few days or a bit longer.
We recommend that parents who start using Fàs Mòr for the first time stay for a little while each time for the first week or so as to help their child settle in and for parents themselves to see the place and ask any questions which they may have.  You will be introduced to a certain member of staff, or a Key worker for your child and they will do all they can to ensure you and your child’s time at Fàs Mòr is an enjoyable experience.  After a short time after starting all our children look forward to coming back to Fàs Mòr.

What should we bring in with our child each day?

We provide a light and healthy snack for children in the morning and in the afternoon.  After school children are also provided with an afternoon snack when they arrive at Fàs Mòr.  Children who are attending Fàs Mòr over lunch time are required to bring in their own packed lunch as Fàs Mòr does not supply this.  We also have a healthy eating policy and ask parents not to send in sweets and fizzy drinks with their children.  On your child’s registration form for Fàs Mòr we ask of any known food allergies. We also ask that children come to Fàs Mòr with soft shoes or slippers for indoors, a change of clothes or two and also nappies and wipes for baby’s.

How often do the children get outside to play?

We aim to let the children out to play outside as much as possible weather permitting.  We also go on short walks and when we plan to take the children off campus, all parents will be notified beforehand and a permission slip will be sent home with your child.

How long should I keep my child at home if they have been unwell?

In the interest of general health your child should not attend the facility if suffering from a severe cold, diarrhoea, conjunctivitis or any other communicable disease. Please do not bring a sick child into Fàs Mòr.  Should a child become ill, every effort will be made to contact you. All infectious diseases should be notified so that we can inform staff and other parents.

How should I pay for my child/ children’s childcare at Fàs Mòr?
